What is better, washing dishes manually or putting them in the dishwasher?

Handwashing. You see the specks...you wash the specks. The dishwasher is blind! What is better, washing dishes manually or putting them in the dishwasher?
Manually handsdown. Use Dawn liquid and a little elbow grease. Dishwashers can't see the egg in the corner. What is better, washing dishes manually or putting them in the dishwasher?
The dishwasher is absolutely hands down the best.

You don't have to scrub and get all wet washing them by hand while wasting valuable time and the dishwasher sterilizes them which makes it more sanitary and healthier for you and your family.

And I compared one month of water usage when I washed dishes by hand to another month when I used the dishwasher and the month I used the dishwasher saved me money on my water bill because I used less water.

Besides who in their right mind wants to wash dishes by hand anyway?

Sheesh!
I rinse everything off first to make sure they don't have anything stuck to them and I used the hot wash option on the dishwasher with either antibacterial or with bleach dishwashing detergent. We have kids and dogs so I want to make sure everything is sanitized.
I'm old school so, I'd rather scrub the dishes by hand that way there's no residue afterwards.
Dishwasher, little did we know while all those restaurants were steaming their dishes according to the health dept, that we should be doing the same. Let me tell you this. My kids were sick every winter. After the dishwasher none of us have been sick. I have not had a cold, the flu anything. So, when your husband tells you you don't need one, have him read this. It disinfects. Look at your dishwater and rinse water after you wash a load, yuck.
i saw on tv once that even though the dishwasher uses a lot of hot water, it cleans better, is more efficient and saves energy to use a dishwasher because it can wash all of the dishes at once, rather than having the water running the whole time, or having your dishes in standing water.
Rinse in the sink, THEN dishwasher =] so cleannnnnnn
putting them in the dishwasher
putting them in a dishwasher. it cleans them properly so theres not so many germs. so you will stay healthy if you wash them in a dishwasher, but rinse them first, so all the food and crap is of them !
I've used a dishwasher and never liked it because you have to rince them off first %26amp; then put them in the dishwasher!

I always (now) hand wash them.
It depends on how well your dishwasher cleans. Nothing is

worse than to take clean dishes out of the washer and still find

food on them. Yuck. The dishwasher will wash using water

set at a higher temp than probably you can stand by hand

washing. That is particularly true when it comes to rinsing them. You have to remember that a dishwasher will use many

gallons of water per wash and rinse cycles also. And if you

have to pay your own water and sewer fees, that will make a

big impact on your budget.

Sanitarily speaking, the dishwasher should clean and

sanitize your dishes perfectly, if the machine is working

correctly. If it's an old model, than you'll often find the per-

formance lacking, if you have to re wash something. So

you have to be the best judge and decide. You have to eat

off of them, we don't. LOL
I know it sounds like extra work but I feel more comfortable doing both, you know they will be clean when both you and a machine cleans them!!!!
i do both wash em first and put them through the dishwasher to get them squeaky clean and to disinfect them!
the very best way to clean the dishes, in which,is the best way to sanitize to eliminate germs and dirt, virus, and grime is to use the automatic dish washer. for the very best results is to to in fact, hand wash the the dishes in hot water to loosen up the caked on food and clear any larger chunks then load into a dish washer immediately and start the cycle directly after loading.this method will assure you sparkling and sanitary dishes.
I hand-wash mine first with a grease-fighting liquid soap, then follow that up with running them in the dishwasher. It takes a little longer, but they hot hot hot water in the diswasher thoroughly cleans what may still be on the dishes and disinfects them. Try that! You'll be pleased.
its better to handwash the dishes when you're beside someone and as you share the load you get to talk. The handwashing becomes a cool hang-out chat-time so that you can talk about life, people friends etc., and other stuff. Otherwise, use the dishwasher so you can save time and energy to get other things done.
We don't have a dishwasher other than myself, so I have to say manually
hand wash then dishwash
