What uses less energy & water, Hand washing dishes or a dishwasher machine?

the electricity board told me that dishwashers are one of the worst offenders when it comes to wasted energy along with, tumble dryers and outdoor water features. i guess it must be the same with water consumption. having said that our boiler uses about 2 bowls of water before the water turns hot enough to wash dishes so it really depends how efficent your appliances are. What uses less energy %26amp; water, Hand washing dishes or a dishwasher machine?
obviously washing them by hand. What uses less energy %26amp; water, Hand washing dishes or a dishwasher machine?
Hand washing because you are only using water and not electricity like your dishwasher.
Depends on how you wash dishes. If you fill the sink with water and wash, hand washing will use less. If on the other hand you use running water, it's likely hand washing will use more.

Run the washer with a full load, and don't use the heated dry; just crack the door open when it's done and the dishes will be dry in 30 minutes or so (often less than it takes the heated dry to do it).
hand washing............I wish it was the dishwasher
Contrary to popular belief, a dishwasher uses a lot less of everything, per load.
A dishwasher uses lots less water, and if you skip the drying cycle and put them on the drainer, then it will also save on energy
easy hand washing
